Happy Halloween!

October 31st, 2006

Today I was a go-go dancer!  A bunch of us dressed up for work.  We couldn’t decide between either a 70’s theme or Western theme.  So we did both.  We were the Wild 70’s Line Dancers and won first place in our company’s group costume contest.  Also, check out the spider pumpkin I carved.

Stinky bathroom

October 30th, 2006

The smell of bathroom already makes me gag at work but today it was really bad.  After I walked in, I gagged and tried to breathe through my mouth.  Then I heard someone flipping a magazine in one of the stalls!  Who does that at work??  They must have known they would be there for a while.  I hurried, did my business and was out there quick!  I’m surprised I didn’t throw up.

Busy Weekend

October 30th, 2006

We had a lot going on this weekend.  Pish had an Invisalign seminar this Friday and Saturday.  He is now certified to do it the clear braces (no metal).

On Saturday we had Sherri’s baby shower (great party Christine!) and Mike Diep’s wedding.  We were pooped after.  Then yesterday we ran errands and hung out with the fam.  My bro’s family came up and we all spent time with my folks.  They are off to Hong Kong tomorrow.  It was fun seeing my cousin Sing’s daughter play with Ryan and Kennan.  They had so much fun running around.

Thanks Mom and Dad for everything!

Also, I want to say thanks to Pish.  He’s been really great lately.  Doing all the driving and taking care of me.  I appreciate it all!

Baby size update - 11 weeks

October 26th, 2006

Here’s an excerpt from a baby site that sends me weekly updates.

“Your fig-size baby is now fully formed — measuring 1 1/2 inches long and weighing in at a quarter of an ounce. His skin is still transparent, allowing many of his blood vessels to show through. Some of his bones are beginning to harden. His fingers and toes have separated, and he may soon be able to open and close his fists. He’s already busy kicking and stretching, and his tiny movements are so fluid they look like water ballet. These movements will increase as his body grows and becomes more developed and functional. As your baby’s diaphragm develops, he may also start getting the hiccups. Because he’s still so small, you won’t feel any of his aquatic workouts or intrauterine gulps for another month or so. ”

Nature is truly amazing…..

October 25th, 2006

Mac & Cheese

October 24th, 2006

I haven’t had any weird cravings yet but this week, I really want macaroni and cheese.  Don’t know why but it tastes so good!  I went to lunch at TGI Fridays today and they have a new appetizer…Fried Mac and Cheese balls.  Probably not the healthiest dish but it was damn good.

Near meltdown…

October 23rd, 2006

My hormones must have been going crazy this weekend because I was easily annoyed by Pish.  Here’s my story of my “almost” meltdown.  Pish was in the master toilet and I asked him to hand me one square of toilet paper.  He gave me four squares.  “What part of ONE square do you not understand???”  So I threw back the other three squares at him.  Of course he didn’t catch it and it just fell on the floor.  He knows how I hate to leave things on the floor so he left it there.  I started to get so mad.  Then he continued to egg me on and I felt the tears start forming in my eyes.  I was about to have a meltdown!  But I was able to hold it in and not blow up.  But to make it worse, he must have walked by that toilet paper on the floor at least 5 times but never picked it up.  It was getting harder and harder not to start crying and yell at him.  But I knew it was silly to blow up about this so I held it in and decided revenge would be better.  So after he went downstairs, I picked up the toilet paper from the floor and put in his pillow under the sheets.  So when he went to sleep that night, he got a nice surprise.

He wasn’t too happy when he found it but I felt great!  hahaha
