We had our first external ultrasound yesterday.  The baby is doing well and growing. 

It’s a girl!  Pish and I are so excited.

I got my first comment about having the pregnancy glow.  hehe..well, kind of.  I went to visit my good friend Geraldine since she was in town.  She kept commenting on how she liked my hair, my makeup, my eyes….and later she said maybe it was the pregnancy glow.  I think she was just being nice since she hadn’t seen me in a while but she sure did make me feel good!

Recently Pish made a comment about my eyes too.  weird because he never notices stuff.  Preganacy affects hair growth but I wonder if it affects eyelash growth.  Pish thinks maybe my eyelashes got longer.

I hope everyone had a great Christmas!  After a change in plans, we ended up spending the whole weekend in San Diego and had lots of fun playing with the kids.  I babysat them on Saturday while my bro, Liz and Pish golfed.  On Sunday, we did some shopping and then had Christmas eve dinner.  Even our cousin Yeung joined us.  Thanks to Liz for the nitrate free ham and the awesome Pizookie dessert!  Then this morning we woke up early and watched the kids open their christmas gifts.  They got lots of goodies and so did we.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!  to Sherri and Ken!  Their beautiful baby was born yesterday.  7 lbs. 9ozs.

…until we find out if this kid is a girl or a boy.  Our appointment is next Friday afternoon.  Any bets on what it’s going to be???   Please put your guess in the comments. 

For the last month, Pish has been fighting with Sit N Sleep over our defective mattress.  Both sides of the mattress have a huge dip in the butt area and we can’t flip it since it’s a pillow top.  I know my butt is way bigger than Pish’s but surprisingly, his dip is bigger than mine. 

The mattress company sent out an inspector and reported that indeed there was a 1.5 inch dip.  BUT….he claimed there was a small stain and any stain voids the warranty!  We are so mad.  We couldn’t even see the stain until they sent us the pictures from the report.  See below for the pictures.

Luckily, Pish got a very helpful person at customer service and after many emails back and forth they said if we got the stain cleaned, they would send out the inspector again.  So for $80, the mattress was cleaned and the same inspector came.  Pish got a little testy with this guy because Pish claims his measuring wasn’t consistent.  This got me worried because this guy had the power to screw us.  We should be kissing his butt since we wanted a new mattress!

So we waited nervously and finally we got the call that we would be getting a new mattress!!  We even picked a more expensive one and Sit N Sleep said they would get Sealy to cover the difference.  Also, we found out the mattress pad had a warranty too so Sit N Sleep is going to try to get our $80 cleaning fee back for us.  Pish is a walking infomercial for Sit N Sleep customer servcie now.  They were so nice and got so much done for us.

Thanks to Pish’s persistance with them, we are going to sleep much better tonight and hopefully this will help my back pain!

Last night I had a bad calf cramp at 4am.  I had heard that pregnant women could get this but I didn’t know how much it could hurt.  It woke me up abruptly and was like no pain I had ever felt.  I think I scared Pish because I yelled out.  The initial pain only lasted about 10 seconds and then it was just really tight after that.  Even now, it’s still a little sore.  What a weird pregnancy symptom…..
