This is the picture that didn’t make the cut for our christmas cards. I like this one because it shows Katie’s cute outfit but Pish didn’t like it because you couldn’t see the christmas tree.

Katie has more of a coordinated crawl now. She is better at left, right, left, right. But her new interest is in standing up. She hates sitting too long and is always looking for something to grab onto so that she can stand up. Pish got a scare one night after he looked at the baby monitor and saw Katie standing up in her crib! To avoid her being able to climb out, we’ve lowered the crib now.
Katie is also babbling a lot now. Pish has been trying to train her to say daddy but it hasn’t happened yet. It’s a race! Will she say mama or dada first?? Well, this morning I swore I heard her say baba mama. Mama?!? I heard it! Pish didn’t believe me. argh…but this afternoon, Katie was playing and she clearly said mama! woo hoo! yay Katie. Mama is your favorite, huh? hehe

On Friday December 21st, Ethan Alexander Tang was born. He was 6 lbs 10 oz. Congratulations to the Tang family!
On Saturday December 22nd, Branden Tang turned one year old. Congrats to this Tang family too!
I’ve been counting down to the end of the week and it’s finally here! I’m hoping today will be a short work day and the holiday week will begin.
So last night we had our mommies dinner at Cheesecake Factory. It was fun hearing all the kid stories and recent developments. Right now Katie is the youngest so I listen and learn from all the stories I hear. Some of the things I am definitely not looking forward to. But soon Yuewen will be giving birth and Katie won’t be the youngest anymore. Afterwards, a couple of us headed to our massages. Now I know why they call my treatment “Pure Relaxation”. It was great.
I think this was the first time I had a male masseuse though. (I wasn’t sure how to spell masseuse so I looked it up and the definition is: a woman who provides massage as a profession or occupation. So what do you call a male one?) Anyways, my guy put his hand on my shoulder as we walked to the back room. I thought that was a little odd but I later found out that the women do that too. I wonder why? So once I was in the room I was feeling really relaxed. However, there were a couple stressful moments. Like when I was laying down on my stomach. I kept wondering if milk was leaking! :) Then later, my nose started to run a little. Not sure why I was too shy to ask for a tissue but I just laid there hoping it wouldn’t drip down on his shoe. Lucky it didn’t. :) So the massage was great but I couldn’t help but wonder what this guy was thinking as he’s rubbing my bare back. Plus, every ten minutes he would make a deep exhale and I could feel his breath on my back. Kind of creepy. I think from now on I’ll request a female masseuse so that I don’t have all these random thoughts while I’m trying to relax. I’ll just have to hope she’s not a lesbian.
It’s finally thursday and getting closer to christmas! I’m especially looking forward to today because the girls from our dinner club decided not to give gifts to each other this year. Instead we are having a nice dinner out and we are getting massages tonight! It will be nice to catch up with everyone and relax. That means all the daddies will be on night duty tonight. They were already jealous we had a night out planned so they went to a “guys night out” last week and went to see an IMAX movie. Massages are better. I think we got the better end of the deal but we deserve it!
