Sydnie was born just 6 days before Katie. We celebrated her birthday in Santa Monica this past weekend. It was a beautiful day and Katie had lots of fun running around.

A lot of people have been asking us about Katie’s birthday party this week. I started to feel a bit guilty for not doing one this year. Bad mommy? Oh well. You will all have to wait until next year. 
So I’ve been slacking on Katie’s birthday gift and didn’t decide what I wanted to get her until yesterday. A new chair! She’s a big girl now so she deserves a big girl chair. It was quite a splurge but I think she’ll like it. It’ going to be pink with hot pink piping and I even got it personalized with her name. :) It’s back ordered until June though. Ooops…katie will be getting it late.
NOTE: to all new mommies out there. At pottery barn, you have up to a year to close out your registry and will get 10% off all remaining items. So I added this chair (and some other items) to my registry and went in to the store today to get my discount. That was a nice little bonus. 
Last night at dinner club we tried to take a pic of all the kids but it was hard! We did get one good one with the girls but Katie did not want to sit still. Oh well…it was worth a shot.
Does anyone have any tips on keeping hair down? Katie’s hair is still out of control! Wetting it doesn’t work. I might have to start using gel.

We decided not to keep up with the Joneses this year for Katie’s birthday. Instead we are just having a small gathering with family. Take that Joneses and try to keep up with us!
