Sydnie was born just 6 days before Katie.  We celebrated her birthday in Santa Monica this past weekend.  It was a beautiful day and Katie had lots of fun running around.

Happy Birthday to our little Katie!! 

A lot of people have been asking us about Katie’s birthday party this week.  I started to feel a bit guilty for not doing one this year.  Bad mommy?  Oh well.  You will all have to wait until next year. 

So I’ve been slacking on Katie’s birthday gift and didn’t decide what I wanted to get her until yesterday.  A new chair!  She’s a big girl now so she deserves a big girl chair.  It was quite a splurge but I think she’ll like it.  It’ going to be pink with hot pink piping and I even got it personalized with her name.    It’s back ordered until June though.  Ooops…katie will be getting it late.

NOTE:  to all new mommies out there.  At pottery barn, you have up to a year to close out your registry and will get 10% off all remaining items.  So I added this chair (and some other items) to my registry and went in to the store today to get my discount.  That was a nice little bonus. 

Last night at dinner club we tried to take a pic of all the kids but it was hard!  We did get one good one with the girls but Katie did not want to sit still.  Oh well…it was worth a shot.

Does anyone have any tips on keeping hair down?  Katie’s hair is still out of control!  Wetting it doesn’t work.  I might have to start using gel.

We decided not to keep up with the Joneses this year for Katie’s birthday.  Instead we are just having a small gathering with family.  Take that Joneses and try to keep up with us!

The in laws came down this weekend.  SPECIAL thanks to them for coming down to help us with Katie.  They’ll be babysitting her all this week while we are at work.

We ended up having friends over for dinner this past weekend.  Uncle Leon stopped by on Saturday and gave Katie a really cute outfit.  I think he’s trying to hooch her out.  Then on Sunday, I got to play golf with pish and his dad!  I haven’t golfed in over 2 years.  I didn’t do that well but it was still fun.  Later that night, Jos, Linh and Dougie stopped by for dinner too.  I love having house guests!    When we live so far from everyone, we just don’t get people stopping by but we did this weekend!  It reminded me of college.  Just hanging out, watching tv, and gossiping.  I miss those days.

I’ve been working really hard on my business and it is just about ready to go!  Here’s a sneak peek for you people who actually read my blog.  The site is actually fully functional.  I’m just tweaking minor stuff and will be adding some more products.  Stayed tuned….I will be sending out an email to everyone to launch the site. 

I was planning on posting about this later this week and announcing it to the public next week but I got my first online order today!  Someone from Arizona?!?  I was so excited and nervous at the same time.  I had no idea how this person found my website.  Later I found out it is Liz’s friend.  Still exciting!

There’s  a lot going  lately and it has caused me to lose sleep.  I’m not stressed.  I just have a lot of ideas on my mind and so many things I want to do.  Last night I only slept about 3 hours.  I’m pretty surprised I haven’t fallen asleep in front of my computer today.  I tried to sleep at 10:30 (that’s pretty late for me) but couldn’t fall asleep.  Tossed around until 11:15pm and just got back on the computer.  I tried to go back to bed at 1am but tossed again until 1:30am and got up again.  This time I decided to watch tv to get my mind off things.  I eventually fell asleep but woke up when katie whined at 4:45 am.  hmmm…I wonder I was still wired from that McDonald’s coffee I had.  It was REALLY strong. 

Here’s some of the things going on:  I’m trying to get my business going, finally finished my real estate license renewal (45 hours for continuing education!), work, the usual daily stuff, making time to play with the cutest kid in the world  and I’m trying to get our townhouse rented out.  The current tenant is moving out at the end of the month and we still haven’t found a new tenant yet.  I just lowered the rent to $1850.  Maybe I was aiming too high.  We’ll see if I get any takers now.
