Katie received a kiddie pool for her birthday (thanks to cousins Ryan and Kennan) and we decided to finally break it out of the box. After a lot of huffing and puffing between me and Pish, we finally got it inflated. Katie loved it and had so much fun. We swam both days and even had a friend over the 2nd day. Siena seemed to love it too!
Last night there was a new reality show on tv called “I survived a japanese gameshow”. They took a bunch of Americans to Japan and they compete by participating in Japanese game shows. It was pretty funny.
I love Japanese game shows! They ALWAYS make me laugh out loud. It’s really amazing how they come up with these hilarious games and actually find people play in them. Out of the ones I’ve seen my favorite so far are Human Tetris and 24 hour tag. Check out a clip below.
I really love cupcakes and this weekend Pish found ice cream cupcakes in the freezer section at Costco. They are pretty tasty and not too sweet. We’ve been eating one a day. :) Maybe that’s why my work pants are a little tight lately. It probably doesn’t help that we’ve been going to Yogurtland a lot too. They opened one close to our house! Tart yogurt is fat free though, right???
This stuff is awesome! I was orginially introduced to it when Christine gave us a spray bottle of the OxiClean Baby. It worked wonders on all the leaky poop that got on Katie’s clothes. I didn’t even have to scrub. No one wants to scrub leaky poop so I just soaked it and all the stains disappeared! It really makes cleaning so easy.
Recently, I made a bad decision to let Katie play with a pen while I was driving the car. When we got home, she had drawn all over her pant leg. It looked like something that was NOT going to come out. So I put OxiClean to the test. I soaked it and when I checked it the next morning, all the pen marks were gone! Pretty amazing stuff.
It’s been a long week and I’m looking forward to the weekend! It’s going to be a hot one. I’m thinking of taking Katie to the beach or a pool to cool off.
This week Katie has been teething (two more teeth on the bottom are popping out) and she’s having weird symptoms. Usually we are happy if she poops once a day but the past two days, she pooped 4 times a day! They were not pretty. Also, she had a slight fever last night and this morning. Hopefully this teething thing will pass soon.
On a random note, I filled up gas this morning and it cost me $91.22!!! That hurt. But I drove to work with the windows open (AC off) and I got up to 22 mpg. Not bad for a SUV. These rising gas prices are going to force us all to drive less, carpool, and maybe even use public transportation. All things that are probably better for our environment anyways! I guess Debbie Yeh had the right idea all this time.
