It’s official!  Katie will be starting school in January of 2009.  (I put down a deposit at a Leport Montessori).  I recently started looking at schools but the wait lists in Irvine are so long!  Plus some schools don’t start taking kids until 2 years old.

We looked into Montessori schools because Pish and I like their values of independent learning and discipline.  Click HERE if you are interested in seeing the curriculum.

I’m excited Katie is going to start the education process but I’m worried about her getting sick.  Lots have people have told me stories of all the sicknesses kids get from going to school.  Lots of kids means lots of germs.  I guess Katie will build up her immune system early!

Macys is having a huge one day sale TODAY!  I went at lunchtime just to look but ended up doing some damage.  For Katie, I got a jacket and a couple dresses for $6 each and a couple t-shirts for $3 each.  For me I got a couple dresses and tops.  The dresses were originally $69 but I paid $27!

I forgot to bring coupons that gave additional savings but the salesperson said I had up to ten days to bring it in and they’d reimburse me.  So I’m going to get another $20 off!  I like Macys.
