I would like to tell you about a new project I have been working on. www.weefinds.com!! I started this website with two other mommies. We are always looking for great deals and now we’ll use this website to share them! There are plenty of deal sites out there but most of the items are still so expensive (a blanket on sale for $60 is not a deal to us). So on weefinds.com, you will find product reviews and deals for items that are all under $25!
We had a pre-launch and got some great feedback. Now we are ramping up for a full launch on Dec 1st. Please check out the site and let me know what you think.

We had a jam-packed weekend. First, Uncle Jorell came for a visit on friday night. Katie had so much fun with him. Then on Saturday we headed down to Carlsbad to celebrate Ryan’s 8th birthday. Of course we had to stop at the outlets on the way down for a little shopping.
Katie loved playing with her cousins and with all of Kennan’s toys.

On Sunday we had a playdate with four other little girls at our house. It was so fun to see everyone! At first the girls kind of played on their own but eventually started to play with each other. It was really cute. Surprisingly we were able to keep them still for a group photo too!

Katie has learned to test us lately. I’ll tell her not to touch something and then a minute later, she’ll look at me and touch it (testing to see what I’ll do). Well, yesterday she was putting a toy in her mouth and I said no. She looked and me and purposely put it her mouth again. I yelled at her and she started to whine. I told her if she did it one more time, I would take the toy away. Within a couple minutes she did it again. So…bye bye toy! I grabbed it and she started screaming and stomping her feet. She rarely cries that hard but we were not going to give in. Since she kept disobeying us, Pish put her into her first Time Out. She did not like this at all. More screaming and more stomping. Then she cried so hard, she threw up. Poor kid. Red puke all over the carpet. I guess she hadn’t digested those strawberries yet.
I have a feeling this is just the beginning….

Someone recently asked me about baby proofing our house.
Personally, I’ve been delaying the baby proofing process. Not because I’m lazy but because I think those drawer and cabinet things are annoying. Some of them are adult-proof too!
Katie has opened a couple drawers and cabinets but I usually yell out “NO!” and she steps away. So far so good…I hope I didn’t just jinx it.

This weekend was pretty tiring. My neighbor and I had the bright idea to try out the OC Marketplace as vendors. We shared a booth there and it was TIRING! We had to wake up at 4am and we were not allowed the leave the fairgrounds until 4pm. I was able to sell some stuff but not as much as I would have liked. Our aisle didn’t have too much foot traffic and the Orange County fires didn’t help either. I don’t think anyone wanted to be outside on Saturday. Well, at least we tried and we know now. Lesson learned: Stick to my target audience. The holiday boutiques for mom’s was a lot better for my type of products.

Is it ok to scold someone else’s kid? Last week, we were at a birthday party and we met a new family who had a 3 year old boy. He was quite a monster. Later in the evening, I had couch cushion on my lap and he kept hitting it. I thought he was being playful so I’d tickle him back or play but he kept hitting harder and harder. So I tried to ignore him. Then he reached under the cushion and pinched me (HARD too!). I told him “No” nicely but he kept doing it. Finally the mom heard me saying no and took him to another room to play. Would it have been ok if I actually yelled or scolded him? I’m not too sure of the etiquette.
I think if Katie was doing something wrong I wouldn’t mind if another parent scolded her but who knows. I guess it depends on the situation.

Pish sent me an article about Crocs today. The company is not doing well. Could it be the end of Crocs???
Here’s the Rueter’s headline: Crocs shares melt on big loss, dour outlook
“They’ve built an infrastructure over the last few years to handle what they thought was a $2 billion company,” said Sterne Agee analyst Sam Poser. “Now they’ll have $500 million maybe.”
“In its third quarter ended September 30, Crocs had a net loss of $148 million, or $1.79 per share, compared with a net profit of $56.5 million, or 66 cents per share, a year earlier.”
