Ishya has motivated me to sign up for a 5k run.  I need to get in shape and that’s a good goal to train for.  Anyone have any ideas on where I start looking for races in my area?

    you might be able to still sign up for the disneyland 5k.

    ohh! I just looked up the Disneyland one. Looks fun! $40 per person though. Are 5k’s usually that expensive?

    I paid $30 for my last 5K. looks like you’re getting suckered into paying to run 5K too! haha. and we just had this conversation. I need to sign up for another one because my workout routine has been downhill since I ran my 5K.

    I second the http://www.active.com. Also we can practice together in August, (I’m running the half at Disneyland). And if you know me, I should make a good partner, since I hate running probably as much as you do. The half cost me $120, so I guess $40 sounds reasonable; though $30 would be better.
