Near death experience

Harvard the fish almost died again.
We were away this weekend in Lost Vegas (That’s what Katie calls it) and he did not get fed. Usually I leave him with the neighbors but I didn’t want to bother them this time. So I fed him right before we left and was going to feed him as soon as we got home. When we got home on Sunday, he was at the bottom and was not moving at all. This is very uncommon for him because he’s a pretty active little guy and swims around a lot. So I put some food in but he still didn’t move. I tapped the bowl and he breathed a little but still didn’t move. Since he probably had no energy, I used a chopstick to push the food down in front of his face and he ate it! After his meal I gave him some fresh water and hoped for the best. I was pretty sure he was going to die though and Pish was ready to flush him.
The next morning, I woke up and checked on him. He was back to swimming at the top!!! Not quite as active as before but at least he was moving! So I put some more food in there. I think he could smell it and he opened his mouth but he kept missing the food. I think his eye sight was damaged.
I pushed the food in front of him again and he gobbled it up! So he’s still alive but I might have to chopstick feed him from now on. Live on Harvard!
