Happy birthday Ya!

Today was pish’s mom’s birthday. We surprised her with a new toy in the morning, she got flowers delivered to our house from pish’s dad, she got her teeth cleaned and we went to a nice dinner. We tried a historic restaurant by pish’s work and she loved the hummus. We also had some delicious apple pie a la mode.

Happy birthday!!!!

Pool party/birthday

I’m behind on posting again but last last weekend we had a pool party to celebrate our new home.  It also happened to be my birthday.  We celebrated with friends, family and a taco cart guy!  It was fun seeing everyone.

I haven’t taken many pics of my belly this pregnancy but here’s one below to show you how big I’m getting (and I like Katie’s expression).

Thanks to Jorell and Tisha who brought goodies from King’s hawaiian bakery.

Here’s Sydnie enjoying a cupcake.  Makes me want to be a kid again!

Thanks to everyone who brought generous gifts.  Emily, the cake pan you gave me is beautiful and my kahlua cake turned out great!

Free dinner

Benihana sent me a free dinner coupon for my bday so I told pish to sign up and he got one too.  You have the whole month of your birthday to use it and of course we waited until the last week to go.  We went last night and they let us use both coupons.  If you like Benihana, sign up!  The coupon is good for $30 off your meal (we got $60 off!)

Besides the slow servce (we sat down at 6:30pm but they didn’t even take our order until close to 7pm), it was a good dinner.  Katie had fun too.  Doesn’t she look like such a big girl here?

Weekend

We had a fun filled weekend with Randy visiting for Pish’s birthday.  They golfed twice and we did a lot swimming since it was so hot.  We also had an adult night out.  Big thanks to my parents for babysitting Katie.

We headed up to LA with our first stop at Hurry Curry for dinner.  Then we fulfilled my craving at Diddy Riese in westwood for some YUMMY ice cream sandwiches that only cost $1.50!  I think they used to only cost $1 in college but $1.50 is still good.  Then we headed to a bar in hollywood and actually stayed out until 1:30am!  We NEVER do that anymore.  After driving to my mom’s to pick up Katie, driving back home and had some late night Ttaco Bell, I didn’t sleep until 3am.  Then Katie woke up at 6:15am of course.  I felt hung over on Sunday and I didn’t even drink!  A few naps throughout the day totally helped though.

Happy birthday to Pish and thanks to everyone who came out to celebrate with us.

Happy Birthday Kennan (and Pish)!

Happy Birthday to Kennan and Pish today!  We love you guys!

Katie loves spending time with her Kennan.  Here is a picture of them when Katie stayed with them when we were in Virginia.  Liz got them matching dresses and this pic shows Kennan’s new hair cut.  She donated her hair to Locks of Love.  Now she looks even more like a mini Liz!  :D

Siena’s 3rd birthday

I’m catching up on pictures and realized I haven’t downloaded pics from my camera in a long time.  Here are a few pics I took at Siena’s 3rd bday party at Irvine Park back in June.  We enjoyed the jump house, yummy Vietnamese food and fun train ride.  All these girls were born around the same time in 2007.  Look how big and cute they are!

3rd Birthday Party

I am finally getting around to posting about Katie’s birthday.  The celebration started at school on Friday, April 30th.  I didn’t have time to bring snack to her school this time but I did make her the poster to below.  Her classroom has a tradition of birthday posters and they do a birthday walk where the class sings happy birthday to them.

Then on Saturday, we had a Care Bear party at Partyopolis.  It is a warehouse with big jumpers in it.  I only invited little kids but it ended up the adults were allowed to jump too!  Everyone got to jump for 1.5 hours and then we moved into the party room for pizza and cake.  I was really jealous that I could not jump or slide.  :)   Those things looked so fun!!

I was also really excited about the Mother’s day gifts I made for my mom and pish’s mom.  I ended up giving it to my mom early and brought it to Katie’s party to share with everyone.  It is a mosaic made up of 2000+ pictures of Katie.  The moms loved it!

Happy 3rd Birthday!

Someone is turning 3 today!

Princess/Pirate Birthday Party

Last weekend, Katie was invited to her first school friends’ birthday party.  It was a dual birthday party and I had met the girls’ mom at school once and they were very nice.

Katie was very shy when we first got there.  But after 20 minutes or so, she was running around with all the girls.  She especially liked one of the older girls dressed up at Ariel.  The theme of the party was princess and pirates.  Upon arrival, each child was given a costume to wear.  Katie chose Belle from Beauty and the Beast.  I thought they had rented the costumes but they were actually for each child to keep.  So nice!

Katie had a great time and also tried Chocolate Milk for the first time!  She loves chocolate.   Click HERE for more pics.

Photoboothless picture

On Saturday we attended Olivia’s 1 year birthday party.  It was a big event with some tasty food.  They also had a corner to take photo booth pics but there was no booth.  There was a machine in front of you and a backdrop behind you.  To start it, you stepped on a foot pad and it took 4 pictures.  Within a seconds, it printed the results seen below (please ignore the bubbles that spilled on the A).  It was fun.  I want a photo boothless stand at my next birthday!

Happy Birthday little Olivia!
