We had a fun-filled weekend. First, was the annual Ting xmas party at their new house in Huntington Beach (way closer for us now!). The number of kids is multiplying and it is so fun to see them all dressed up and playing together.
We also decided to see It’s a Small World at night and headed to Disneyland on sunday. The line was long but it was worth it! The lights outside were amazing and the inside had a full holiday theme. They also sang Jingle Bells and Deck the Halls. After the ride, I wanted to watch the Christmas parade and we hung around for it but in the middle of it Katie said she had to pee. Usually we don’t have to run to the bathroom because she can hold it for a while but not this time. She was running in place and actually peed a little. Sorry Katie! Mommy was selfish and wanted to see the parade. So we had to head home after that.
Also, Pish finally figured out how to score points in Buzz Lightyear. yay!
We had a busy weekend that started at Disneyland on Friday for Debbie’s birthday! We had a great time (especially since Ishya hadn’t been in so long). I think we traumatized Ishya on the Tower of Terror but it was fun! Disneyland was beautifully decorated for the holiday. I can’t wait to see what they do for Christmas!
Later in the night, Pish dropped off Katie at my mom’s house so that we could have an adult night out at downtown Disney to celebrate Debbie Yeh’s birthday. Surprisingly we were able to surprise her with five people driving down from LA to have dinner with us at ESPN zone. You would think she’d expect a surprise from me but we were still able to pull it off! We enjoyed some ribs, burgers and lots of drinks. Debbie wasn’t able to keep her ribs down but that’s all part of the birthday fun. hehe. Happy Birthday Deb!
On Saturday, it was our turn for dinner club so we hosted a Halloween lunch. I made Lasagna, Fettuccini Alfredo, Caesar salad, eyeball appetizers, mummy hot dogs for the kids, and the desserts consisted of cream cheese swirled brownies, and spiderweb cupcakes (thanks to Ishya’s decorating skills).
After we all took a nap, we carved some pumpkins and got ready for some trick or treating. Katie got spooked at some of the scarier house decorations but all in all, I think she had fun.

As usual we had a jam-packed weekend. Pish had the day off on Thursday so he took Katie to Disneyland again. They got there on Chamkasem time (EARLY!). Who else gets to see parking lot empty? Since most kids started school the park was not crowded and there were no lines to see the characters.
Pish hates rides that go in circles (tea cups, dumbo, etc) and always makes me go on those with Katie but some how Katie convinced him to go on two spinning rides. Daddy is so weak when Katie asks nicely. Here’s some video he took with his fancy new iPhone 3Gs.
On Friday we stayed the night at my bro’s house and then watched one of Ryan’s baseball games. No more tee ball for Ry Ry. It was full on stealing bases and stuff. Kids grow up so fast. On Sunday, we went to cheer on Auntie Jos who was running the Disneyland Half Marathon. Seeing all the runners motivated me. We saw old men and old women running the race. Also, if people can run 13 miles in full costume, I should be able to do a 5k. hehe..need to start somewhere.
Sunday was birthday party time! Cali turned 4 and Ava is now 2 years old. They are soooo cute. The party was a dress up theme and was decorated with a red carpet and stage for the kids to dance on. Katie loved the face painting, balloons and of course, there was a lot of YUMMY food. Click HERE for more pics from the party.
It was a long weekend, so no work on Monday. I love no work days. We took some time to visit Mike and Show’s new house in Huntington Beach. The house is awesome and Katie loved all of Sydney’s toys. There was some warm up time needed but after a while they were already chasing each other through the house.
Pish and I had a great weekend. On Friday morning Pish dropped off Katie at my brother’s house. She was SOOO excited. Later that night, we had date night at Club 33 in Disneyland. It was a little stressful at first because we got to the parking lot at 6:45 for our 7:30pm reservation but the line into the parking lot was LONG. Who knew that many people went to Disneyland on Friday nights?? So by the time we parked, tram and speed-walked to the restaurant, it was almost 8pm. We ordered our drinks right away! The restaurant decor was really nice and is filled with so much history. I ordered crab cakes and fish while Pish ordered the pre-set menu with steak. It was all pretty good (besides the loud, drunk, obnoxious girls at a table near us). During dinner we were able to see parts of Fantasmic from the balcony and after dinner we watched fireworks. There were some trees in the way though. So it wasn’t the best view. Later we got in line for Indiana Jones. I wanted to ride a ride that we can’t normally ride when Katie is with us. That ride is bumpy! (need a sports bra kind of bumpy). hehe. It was a fun night!
On Saturday morning, we didn’t know what to do with ourselves. The house was quiet and we slept in until 7:30am. woo hoo! We were considering golfing but it was too hot. We ended up running some errands and caught up on some Tivo. It was nice to just relax on the couch. Later that afternoon, we picked up my parents and headed to Greg and Lisa’s wedding. Small world story….My parents know Greg’s dad from before we were born and I know Greg separately. We were all invited to the wedding so we carpooled. The wedding was in PV and was beautiful!
On Sunday we drove down to pick up Katie. I don’t think she missed us much. I barely got a hug when I walked in. My bro said she had lots of fun there and never asked for us. There was only once where she did not want to nap so my brother had to get firm with her. She got a little teary-eyed and whined for mama but then layed down and took a nap.

I’ve been bad about bringing my camera and taking pictures lately. This past weekend, we finally met Binh and Lan’s baby Olivia. Newborns are so cute!! We also stopped for a snack and we had the biggest shaved ice I’ve ever seen. It’s not cheap but it is sooooo good with Condensed Milk. We got one size smaller than the picture below but it was still HUGE.
On Sunday we woke up, had breakfast and headed to Disneyland! Gotta make use of the pass you know. We are pretty efficient these days. We were at the park before 8:30am, rode Katie’s favorite rides, ate the lunch I packed, and met up with some of Pish’s friends. Then to end it off we used our last “front of the line pass” to ride Nemo. The best part is that the guy forgot to take our pass. So we get to use it again. woo hoo! We left the park by 1pm and Katie napped in the car. It was perfect! We still had the rest of the day to clean the house, vaccuum, do laundry and run some errands without being too pooped. It’s really nice to have an annual pass.

Pish and Katie are at Disneyland today. They got there right when it opened. Pish is maximizing the annual pass already and we need to take advantage of this while Katie is still free. I’m jealous though…
Here’s some pics that Pish is taking from his iPhone. It looks like they did a lot already!
It looks like they lasted 4.5 hours. Here she is konked out on the way home.

I’ve been swamped and haven’t had much time to post but I wanted to give a quick Disneyland update. We went on Sunday and bought annual passes. Yes…they got us! So we now are able to go on weekdays and Sundays for the next year. Katie is only 2 years old and gets to go to Disneyland all the time. so spoiled!
They recently raised the price of the annual passes ($20 more) but Pish bargained and was able to buy the passes at the old price. However, there were some computer issues when we were buying our passes so they gave us two front of the line passes (we used one on the Nemo Submarine ride) and a free plush toy. Katie picked a Mickey Mouse doll and here she is giving him a piggy back ride.

We celebrated Pish’s 34th birthday at Disneyland on Friday. Katie loved it and actually stayed awake until 9:30pm (even with only a 30 minute nap all day). Her favorite ride is It’s A Small World and she can sing the entire song by herself now.
Disneyland has a great deal for Southern Californian residents. It’s only $99 for three park hopper days this summer and on the third day, you can pay the difference to upgrade to an annual pass. Looks like Katie will have lots of Disneyland days in the next year.

We are planning on going to Disneyland on July 17th for Pish’s birthday (he gets in FREE that day). If anyone is interested in joining us, let me know.
Also, my company sells discount tickets. They will be onsite tomorrow. If you want me to buy you a ticket, let me know before 1pm tomorrow. Here are the prices:
- Adult (10 yrs+) – 1 day park hopper ticket (save $21) – $73
- Child (3-9 yrs) – 1 day park hopper ticket (save $19) – $65
(1 day park hopper includes 1 day of hopping between Disneyland & California Adventure)
Saturday was family day and Katie had lots of fun playing with her cousins. We went to a cool park in Fountain Valley and had a yummy steak dinner at my mom’s house.
Then today, we used the second half of our 2fer ticket and went to California Adventure with Auntie Debbie. We loved the Tower of Terror and the roller coaster ride. Pish had fun too but he got whoozy on Flik’s Flyer in Bug’s Land with Katie. I think Katie’s favorite was Playhouse Disney’s live show. Disneyland is still better but California Adventure was still worth checking out. Later, we made it home in time to watch the Lakers game. Close call but glad we got the win!
